Lovely

This everyday word is used randomly and without much thought to its meaning. We probably don't realise just how much we use it….

    Love-ly

  • How lovely to see you
  • That's a lovely thing to say
  • What a lovely person she is
  • What lovely flowers
  • Lovely to hear from you

We should try to save the use of this word and only use it when we really believe that whatever it is we're describing is actually "lovely". Otherwise it kind of loses its effect…reduces its truest meaning.
