Buy nothing day

A huge challenge for the shopoholics among us.

This Saturday the 25th of November is the UK Buy Nothing Day.

As consumers we rarely think of the social and environmental consequences that our shopping and our shopping habits bring.  So the organisers of “Buy NOthing Day” send us a simple message:  Shop less – live more! and they want as many people as possible to take part in a big consumer stand-off this Saturday.

The web-site here can explain things far better than I can.

Go for it!  For the first time, we can become activists by doing  nothing!

And it’ll save us lots of pennies and pounds.

Damn!  I’m never going to get those kinky boots!

Get the kinky boots on Friday! 😆

  2. Can’t get into town until Saturday.

I might get the chance to have a rare night out this Saturday and if so, any one-day consumer boycott that I may take part in will have to be just that – one day. Night-time is different.

    This is funny…

I’ve had loads of those days in my youth!

  4. What? You mean “Just-Nick-It” days?
