A Short History of Bush According to . . . Bush

Well I suppose it was bound to happen.  I tried to forget him.  I tried to ignore him since he left office and it’s not been difficult because he has been quiet of late.  But it seems that this arrogant man wants some more attention and has no intentions of shuffling away quietly.  The George Bush Foundation has just been born folks.  I can remember him telling the world to let history be my judge.  Well, I hear that he’s about to re-write that terrible history and spin it into a fairy tale.  And I can’t help worrying that much of America will fall for it.

Apparently, about a hundred greatly deluded neo-cons from his administration are going to be involved as the cherry-picked white washers who will no doubt still insist that water-boarding isn’t torture and the murderous mission in Iraq was not about the oil.  Certainly all the negative things will disappear.

“Rather than a presidential library, like most presidents have, which basically just chronicle the presidency, George Bush is going to be spending several hundred million dollars to hire so-called scholars to rewrite his legacy and to re-invent the history of his administration,” Thom Hartmann

Someone suggested we need a war between historians and yes, the world certainly need someone to stand up for honesty and accuracy.  Let’s face it, we’re not going to see justice.  We shouldn’t be waiting for history to decide or be re-written because he should have been put on trial for war crimes long ago – before he got the chance to commence with his massive legacy spin.  But I doubt we’re ever going to see Bush and his self-serving oil buddies in court so what we desperately need to prevent is a total whitewashing of the Bush years.

“The same folks that are bombing innocent people in Iraq were the ones who attacked us in America on September the 11th.” –George W. Bush, Washington, D.C., July 12, 2007

  2. Hiya ders, Just one of a great many of his dumb quotes.

  3. Well, something will have to be done to counter his psalmodic assertions. A union among bloggers, currents of opinion in the internet, everything that was done before this decision of his was learnt must be resumed: wide criticism of his behaviour before, during and after the wars he provoked.

  4. Absolutely Jose. I don’t think there’ll be a shortage of furiously indignant bloggers speaking out against Bush’s rosy version of events.

  5. I was a bit worried about you, Earthpal. Is everything alright?

  6. Bless you Jose. I’m fine, thank you. Just really busy. I hope you are well too. I miss blogging but I can’t find the time to post much these days.

  7. Am alright, Earthpal. Please don’t feel enslaved by your blog. There are more important things to look after. All the best to you.

  8. I would love to help design the Bush Presidential library.

We could have how rigging elections and intimidating voters in consistent with freedom and democracy. Interactive machines which produce uncountable hanging chads, computer simulations of how police road blocks can affect voter turn out, it’d be great!

Think what else we could include!

  9. Thanks Jose. 🙂

Brilliant Zeddie. You won’t be short of material to use. His Presidency was full of corruption and exploitation.
