Wild Night In

BBC Two is inviting us to have a wild night in on the 20th June.  It’s an important fund-raising venture to help save the planet’s threatened wildlife and wild places.

It’s a great idea, badly timed probably given the Great Uncertainty that most of us are feeling at the moment,  but a great idea none the less.

It’s all very well saying who cares about the animals when humans are more important but even if we put aside the vital role our wildlife plays in the ecosystems, just think what a boringly dull place this world would be if we had no wildlife.  You don’t have to be an animal lover to appreciate the vibrancy, colour and sheer delight that our wildlife adds to this wonderful Earth that we are trying to choke.

If nothing else it will raise awareness and will be an entertaining and much needed distraction from gloomy politicians and agonisingly boring football.

  1. That’s a brilliant idea, indeed! And…it may help take many British out of the crisis if it is done in an intelligent way, employing people to look after animals and environment.

    Good luck.
